Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder characterized by compromised bone strength that increases the risk of fracture. The incidence of osteoporosis is higher among postmenopausal women, whose estrogen levels are naturally lowered. Animal models of postmenopausal bone loss induced with ovariectomy provided present characteristics of bone loss and its sequelae resemble those found in postmenopausal women in some respects due to ovarian hormone deficiency.
Histology marker: H&E, Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP)

▪ Surgical model for Meniscectomy (MMT)
▪ Collagenase Injection
▪ Sodium monoiodoacetate /MIA
The models can incorporate histopathology and biochemical analysis as we all as imaging as well as 24/7 home-cage monitoring for:
▪ General locomotion
▪ Circadian Rhythm
▪ Temperature
